As to be expected from Taylor, the quality of the fruits is extremely fine and highly concentrated, although the year seems to have given the wine an extra coat of density and heaviness. A familiar whiff of violet hangs over the wine along with rose petals and wild minty herbal aromas.
Tasting notes
Deep dark purple, almost black, with a narrow violet rim.
The nose offers explosive, powerful aromas of forest berries, blackberries and blackcurrants, with subtle hints of cherries and mocha.
The fruit, characteristic of Taylor's, both concentrated and exellent, shows an additional dose of density and fullness this year, delicately surrounded by the unmistikable scent of violets, subtle hints of roses and slightly minty aromas of wild herbs. Perfectly matured, well-intergrated tannins provide structure and fullness.
The dominant and full-bodied finish reveals a dense, apparently endless tide of crisp and fruity sensation.
